We’re almost two months into 2026—and it’s already a doozy. It follows on the heels of 2025 that was, as Queen Elizabeth used Latin to describe her 1992: an “Annus Horribilis”…
Nationally and globally, 2025 was indeed a “horrible year” of unfathomable suffering, fear, and anger with a large dose of helplessness and hopelessness thrown into the mix. We were confronted with all the worst of Humanity, including the onset of the horrific events in MN.
But 2025 was also a year of significant positive happenings. In the U.S. alone we had:
- not one but two of the biggest protest marches in American history.
- the ongoing implosion of a fascist wannabe autocrat and his authoritarian regime.
- the falling apart of the “red hat” movement that supported him for many years.
- the beginning of official push back against his policies by SCOTUS and several “red hat” federal and state representatives, as well as other previously staunch allies.
- partisan “tribes” agreeing in their demand for release of “the files” and in opposition to the economic fallout of the administration’s policies.
- hundreds of court cases against the administration.1
All of these have not only continued into 2026 but have increased in magnitude. In addition, and most importantly, there is a wide gamut of actions being taken by everyday people, including creative—and valiant—acts of protecting the most vulnerable among us. Case in point: the courage and perseverance of the residents of Minneapolis.
I think all of the above positive actions are HUGE happenings. And although it’s barely reported in the corporate-owned, main stream media news, Americans and people all around the world are “waking up” and have taken it upon themselves to take action in a zillion different large and small positive ways.
Thus, I believe 2026 will be a turning point: the year we stop waiting to be rescued and, instead, we turn things around and rescue ourselves. As I’ve posed here many times:
There’s no one person [not even that California guy or former VP],
no political party or organization,
no corporate or business entity,
no single group or non-profit,
and not even any ETs who are going to do this for us.
It’s up to ALL of us to do it.
And if 2025 was a year of misinformation and deception, 2026 is already a year of truth and accountability. I don’t think it will happen quickly. Neither do I think it will be easy to make it happen. Rather, I think it will involve one of those things that this impatient Aries detests: a process. And it will take commitment and a lot of work on our part.
But even now, The Process is unfolding. The truth might be being revealed in dribs and drabs—but it is being revealed. The accountability might only begin to happen in 2026—but it will begin. And it will come to fruition—probably not completely in 2026, but definitely over the months and years that follow. All of this has been decades (maybe centuries) in the making—we can’t expect to resolve it in a few months or even one year.
And this truth and accountability will happen not because of politicians and governments acting on their own but rather because of our raised voices, our actions, and our demand that things change for the better. WE the People will make it happen. WE will redirect the destructive and unjust path Humanity has been on for a very long time. WE will bring about the shift from the old paradigm (of patriarchy, corruption, inequality, injustice, divisiveness, intolerance, etc.) to a New Paradigm that will involve the opposite of all the old stuff.
“He”/“they” may have severely damaged and even destroyed many U.S. democratic practices, traditions, and institutions (and even buildings), but they have NOT destroyed democracy because democracy is us. And not only are “We” most definitely still here, but “We” grow stronger every day. And “We” far outnumber “them.”
However, make no mistake: it’s not over yet by any means. “They” are increasingly being pushed into a corner, and we all know that animals are most vicious when cornered. But once they’re gone—and they will be gone one way or another—we’ll then need to be patient but persistent over however long it takes us to rebuild everything they’ve damaged or destroyed.
But remember that nationally and globally, basically all aspects of our lives have been severely thrown off kilter—so don’t be surprised if the way we resolve all of it is way outside of traditional means. I think we’d do well to expect the unexpected, and to roll with the punches even as we keep getting back on our feet and continue to fight—to resist.
For now, using the old Mission Impossible phrasing, “Your mission, should you choose to accept it,”— if you choose to save democracy and Humanity overall—I suggest you consider the following as part of your 2026 potential To Do list:
- Do whatever you can to further The Process along BUT don’t burn out. When you need it, take some R&R time—like away from the news or whatever you’re doing to contribute to The Process. There are plenty of us to pick up the slack.
- Do what you can to get “the files” released. This will ultimately be “their” unveiling and downfall—nationally and globally. (And no, the U.S. government is not the only repository or source of the files. Note the arrest, investigations, and resignations of some royalty, diplomats, ministers, and business persons in Great Britain, Slovakia, Norway, Sweden, France, Poland, Latvia, and Turkey. So don’t be dismayed by all the U.S. redactions.)
- Do begin/continue to make a list of what you want to see fixed, rebuilt, or created on a local, state, federal, and/or global basis—in whatever domain. And don’t limit the scope to what’s “reasonable”—think big and think outside of the box.
- Most importantly: be kind to yourself, including doing something that brings you joy. It helps to counteract all the negative energy “they” are generating AND will help you maintain balance and support your well being.
I don’t know much about astrology but I’ve heard from experts that we’re currently in very similar cycles and alignments that occurred during the American Revolution, the Civil War, and the Great Depression and WWII of the 1930s–40s. It indicates a time when we are forced to confront fundamental questions of power, authority, and institutional survival. Except maybe this time it’s on steroids. But we’ve done it before; we’ll do it again—and this time it will be for good.
Just as the U.S. Founders fought for and created a new nation, a new government, we now have the opportunity to fight for and RE-create that nation and government—one that is transformed and works for all us as we are now vs. in 1776.
So what does all of this have to do with Oneness? Well several months ago some words came through loud and clear from my Spirit Guides (emphasis included):
There is nothing, NOTHING more important for Humanity to do as a whole right now
than to come together as One to effect change.
[ AKA “R e s i s t a n c e”! ]
So if 2025 was an “Annus Horribilis,” it was also an “Annus Conversionis”—the year of the beginning of a decisive reversal in direction for Humanity. So let’s make 2026 an “Annus Transformationis”—the year of transformation. The year we begin to transform the old paradigm into a shiny New Paradigm.
And with that, your Latin lesson for today is complete.😁
BTW—Accountability can involve punishment other than imprisonment. For example, for a narcissist, the loss of people’s attention and their adulation—with some ridicule added in—may be more of a living hell than being physically jailed. Given plummeting poll numbers and significantly poor attendance at a recent “rally,” this is happening for “the orange felon” right now. And it continues to worsen for him.
P.S. We’re surrounded by some interesting omens. For example:
- In numerology, adding this year’s numerals (2+0+2+6=10), 2026 reduces to 1, which is the beginning of a new cycle.
- The full moon on January 3rd was the Wolf Moon which signifies renewal and community. It represents survival and drawing strength from your “pack” (your community). Spiritually, it’s a time for introspection and inner wisdom, setting intentions, and strengthening bonds.
- The Chinese Year of the Fire Horse began on February 17th and brings in an energetic and passionate period of movement and rapid change. It encourages new ventures but also carries a warning of potential overextension and the need for balance.
- There was also an annular (“ring of fire”) solar eclipse on February 17th and there will be a lunar eclipse on March 3rd. Per Google AI: An eclipse is less about a single “event” and more about a threshold into effects over subsequent months. Spiritually, eclipses symbolize profound transformation, healing, and new beginnings. They often precede new regimes, ideologies, or power alignments.
- There was also a new moon on February 17th which always signifies beginnings. Combined with a solar eclipse “supercharges” this new moon symbolizing major new beginnings.
February 17th saw the rare concurrence of a solar eclipse, a new moon, and the start of the Chinese Year of the Fire Horse. The combination of these events signifies a “profound spiritual portal,” promising high-voltage, fast-moving energy characterized by radical change, independence, and the need for impulsive, courageous action.
And all of that sounds pretty damn good to me.😁
